Welcome to Sully’s Grill – a popular venue at Sullivan’s 71st Street & N Keystone Avenue store where a wide variety of grilling classes are offered. It is a fun location for special events, parties, meetings, and private group grilling classes too.

About our Grilling Classes:

  • Doors open at 6:00 pm with the class starting at 6:30 pm unless noted otherwise.
  • Classes generally include a demonstration and Q&A session before participants head to the grills for hands-on learning. Once the cooking is done, everyone enjoys the fruits of their labor along with some dishes prepared by our chef to round out the meal.
  • Classes are limited in size to ensure a quality experience.
  • You don’t have to cook! We realize you may have been forced against your will to attend this class. So if you’re not in a grilling mood, our chef will be happy to prepare your food for you. We want you to have fun!
  • Beer and wine are available at an additional cost.
  • Our classes are geared toward grilling on the Big Green Egg or Weber grills as noted. Many concepts are applicable to gas or charcoal grilling.
  • Classes run approximately two hours.

Beer Pairings Dinner

Join us for a special Beer dinner with Big Lug Brewery. This will be a four course meal paired with four Big Lug Beers (included in the cost). Eddie Sahm will be on hand to discuss the beer and help prepare a wonderful meal. There will be plenty of grill talk and we’ll answer all your questions. Our 2017 Beer dinners were great events. We hope you’ll join us for this special evening!

Weber Burger Time!

Grilling and Burgers are synonymous! The Weber Chefs know a thing or two about grilling burgers. They grill thousands every year! Join us for a fun hands-on experience, we’ll be grilling on the Weber charcoal kettles and having fun creating your ultimate burger!

Menu: Grilled Avocado and Jalapeno Guacamole, Turkey Burgers, Over the Top Burger & Sweet Potato Fries with Lemon Aioli.

Whether you’re new to the Egg or just need a refresher course, this class is for you! We’ll cover the basics such as lighting your grill, maintaining temperature, slow cooking techniques, and much more. Don’t worry about being hungry! Smoking Hot!

Real barbecue is what everyone loves and there’s no better way than cooking low and slow on the Big Green Egg. Who wants to be the Pit Master? Join us for a Big Green Egg Barbecue and Smoking Class! The class starts with a demonstration on smoking and grilling. We’ll talk ribs, butts, shoulders and more. We’ll answer all your questions before you are turned loose to do a little barbecuing of your own on one of the Big Green Eggs. Our chef will get a few things on the grill early in the day so you’ll be able to sample more dishes. You won’t go hungry!

The Perfect Steak

Ever wonder how the great steak houses get such full flavor with their beef? This class will teach you the proper technique for grilling the perfect steak on a Big Green Egg. There will be a guest expert talking about the different cuts of meat. Our class will start with a demonstration and Q&A session before you head out to one of the Big Green Eggs to give it a try. Our chef will be there offering tips and advice (and possibly drinking your beer). Once your steak is ready, we’ll provide the rest of the meal so we can celebrate a job well done.

Pizza on the Grill

Nothing is better than pizza cooked on a Big Green Egg! Come learn the proper technique for cooking great pizza on a grill. The class starts with a demonstration by our chef during which you’ll learn about creating a great crust and delicious pizza. Our cooking classes are hands-on. After the demonstration and Q&As, you’ll be ready to try your pizza-making skills on one of the Big Green Eggs. Our chef will be there with tips and personal assistance. Yum Pizza!

Get ready for barbecue season! The Weber folks will be on-hand to show you how to barbecue some favorite foods. During this class you will learn how to add smoky succulence with seasonings, grilling techniques and sauces.

All burgers are not the same. There’s a reason why restaurants are always competing in ‘who has the best burger’ contests. The reason is that it’s not easy to produce great, consistent burgers on the grill…until now!
